Mohali's Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium which hosted the 2011 World Cup between India and Pakistan did not make the final list for the upcoming mega event.

Besides Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai, the other eight venues listed for the 2023 World Cup are Rajkot, Guwahati, Indore, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Dharamsala, Hyderabad and Lucknow. It will be interesting to see which sports will get the right to host the semi-finals.
