Pooran brought up his
half-century in just 15 deliveries to help LSG chase down RCB's massive target.
Nicholas Pooran smashed the
Indian Premier League's fastest 15-ball 15 as Lucknow Super Giants launched a
mammoth chase of 213 to get past Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final ball
game on Monday.
West Indies' Pooran smashed 62
off 19 before his debut but Lucknow pulled away from the line to win by one
wicket in a dramatic finish in Bengaluru.
Lucknow needed five in the last
six when Ayush Badoni was out of the wicket for 30 in the penultimate innings,
hitting his stumps while hitting what would have been a six.

beat RCB in a high-scoring match
Mark Wood and Jaydev Unadkat
were dismissed in the last over and Ravi Bishnoi was almost 'oiled' off the
last ball.
With high pitches and big shots,
number 11 Avesh Khan bid a bye and dropped his helmet in celebration.
Australian Marcus Stoinis had
already hit 30-ball 65, but it was Pooran's blitz, which included six sixes,
that drove RCB.
Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and
Glenn Maxwell hit 15 sixes between them in Bangalore's 212-2 run, with 27 hits
in the match in total.
Bangalore struck with three
opening wickets before Stoinis managed a four-wicket stand of 76 with KL Rahul.
Impact player Karn Sharma broke
the partnership by dismissing Stoinis, but Bangalore have a new enemy in
Pooran.
Pooran and Stoinis' efforts
overshadowed the efforts from Kohli (61), Du Plessis (79 not out) and Maxwell
(59) when Bangalore were put in the starting line-up.
Kohli set the tone for
Bangalore's massive total with his second fifty of the season in a 96-run knock
off Du Plessis.
Maxwell kept the charge going
after Kohli's departure and Du Plessis took six hits, including a 115-yard
strike, as he recorded his second half-century campaign.
