KKR vs CSK: Who Won Yesterday's IPL 2023 Match?

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) yesterday (23. A decisive victory moved Chennai to the top of the points table.

CSK was sent to bat first, posting an impressive 235/4 on the board when Ajinkya Rahane (71* for 29) and Shivam Dube (50 for 21) broke the vortex for half a century In the chase, KKR held on to 186/8 despite fifties from Jason Roy (61 for 26) and Rinku Singh (53* for 33.

Kolkata needed a good start to stay in the big hunt. Instead, Akash Singh defeated Sunil Narine (0) in the first-round while Narayan Jagadeesan died in Tushar Deshpande. Venkatesh Iyer was jailed by Moeen Ali for 20 run-a-ball. On the same round, Roy hit the spinner for three consecutive sixes.

KKR captain Nitish Rana (27) again made no significant contribution.He hit the goal in the middle of Ravindra Jadeja's bowling alley. Roy supported Calcutta's faint hopes. He took on Jadeja and Maheesh Theekshana and hit them with some powerful punches.

KKR batsman walked 50 of 19 balls. But Theekshana got the last laugh as she licked Roy and cleaned him up.Even as the goals fell, Rinku persevered, ending another difficult half-century, albeit a losing battle.

Rahane Show at Eden Gardens

The CSK Flyhalf continued their streak adding 73 in 7.3 overs. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad again failed to change his exit. Suyash Sharma brought him down with 35 balls from 20 balls.Devon Conway improved by over 50 points on his fourth consecutive result. His good shooting ended at 56 for 40 when he was caught trying to tackle Varun Chakravarthy on a long break.

Dube walked in and read KKR six times in a row. Rahane then hit the first two serves in Umesh Yadav's next game, the 14th inning, for two more highs while CSK hit four straight sixes. There was more penalty for Umesh when 22 went over the lines.
