Gujarat Titans coach Gary Kirsten praised veteran Indian goalkeeper Wriddhiman Sahu on Sunday and said he was very impressed with how the goalkeeper's batsman approached his game in today's Indian Premier League. 67 of Wriddhiman Sahy's 57 balls in the opening inning prepared a big victory for the Titans, who have now secured their place in the first two group stages and will play 1 set in the qualifiers on May 24th.

"We have been obviously very impressed (with Saha). It is great to have him in the team. He is a real professional. And he has got good experience in the IPL and in all (forms) of cricket," Kirsten said at the virtual-post-match press conference.

Like many players with insufficient strike power skills in the T20 format, Saha increased his game power against Chennai and helped the GT give 53 runs.

"He understands his game and plays really well in the power-play. For us, he was always an important asset to have when we needed him and he has come in and done really well," said the South African, who has also coached India in the past.

"I don't think there is any specific (thing) that we need to say to him (Saha) because he knows how to play the power-play really well. The most important thing is guys (players) play to their strengths and abilities. He is a great player of the short ball."

The Gujarat Titans are head and shoulders above the other teams in the Indian Premier League. Whereas in the past it was their bottom line that won their crisis games, at the moment it seems that the top line manages to give the team a consistent start to be great overall.

The win against Chennai is the second in a row for Gujarat, as they want to secure a playoff victory this season.
