Defending champions Gujarat Titans that was all set to face the Chennai Super Kings for the IPL 2023 Final match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 28 May had to wait for another day as incessant rains played a spoilsport. Despite multiple attempts, the match couldn't be played and had to switched for the reserve day, i.e. 29 May.

Now the interesting clash will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium on 29 May from 7:30 pm onwards (IST).

The Gujarat Titans will look to retain the IPL trophy while Chennai Super Kings will look to win their fifth IPL trophy.

Gujarat Titans lost their first qualifier against Chennai Super Kings at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. However, the Gujarat-based franchise sealed their place in the final after beating Mumbai Indians by 62 runs on Friday.

Both teams rely heavily on their top-order batting. Shubman Gill, in particular, is the highest run-scorer in this year's IPL, becoming only the second Indian batsman to score over 800 runs in a season.

Meanwhile, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been spearheading the CSK batting at the top. Devon Conway has scored 625 runs in the 14 innings this season, batting with a strike rate of 137 and an average of 52. Ruturaj Gaikwad, on the other hand, has scored 564 runs this season with an average of 43 and a strike rate of 146.
