The Tata IPL 2023 auction is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM
IST today, and a total of 405 players will go under the hammer. The 10 teams
will be ready to compete in the auction house, with the aim of creating the
best team for the two-month competition. With a total of 273 Indian players
registered for the auction, only 57 Indians will be awarded the rare IPL
contract. This list includes some experienced Indian players like Mayank
Agarwal, Manish Pandey, etc. and some new talents like Kumar Kushagra and
Dinesh Bana.
In every IPL auction, franchises break the bank for certain
players, while some players are considered steals, due to the qualities they
add to their side and their cheap prices. this land is given to them. Let's
take a look at three players who could be the cheapest in the Tata IPL 2023
auction.
1 Ajinkya Rahane (base price – Rs 50 lakhs)
One of the most popular Indian names in this market,
Ajinkya Rahane is almost certain to be picked by teams in this market given his
vast experience and personality. One of India's most popular cricketers of the
last decade, Rahane fell out of favor with the Indian coaches and was dropped
from the Test squad, which he captained in the absence of Virat Kohli. Last
year, Kolkata Knight Riders brought in Rahane at a low price of 1 crore and it
would be a surprise to see him picked at such a low price again this time.
2 Ishant Sharma (base price – Rs 50 lakhs)
One of India's most experienced batsmen and batsmen, Ishant
Sharma, like Ajinkya Rahane, was dropped from the Indian Test team. Sharma also
missed out on last year's IPL auction as he was not picked by a team and was
not sold. A veteran of more than 100 Tests, Ishant Sharma would be a good
option for any team looking for a cheap fee for an experienced Indian fast
bowler. Ishant Sharma was picked by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2019 auction for
just 1.10 crore.
3 Sandeep Sharma (base price – Rs 50 lakhs)
Perhaps one of the best players in the IPL over the years,
Sandeep Sharma has the ability to hit the ball in both directions, and his
accuracy is remarkable. Noted for being the only bowler to fire Virat Kohli
seven times in the IPL, Sharma took 114 wickets in 104 matches at a cheap save
rate of 7.77. Sandeep Sharma is a good option for any team looking for a swing
bowler at the beginning of the innings. It was brought up by the Punjab kings
in the last season for a measly sum of Rs 50 lakhs. Franchises will look for
opportunities to buy such dishes at a good price.
