MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super
Kings (CSK) are gearing up for a tricky contest in their fourth game
of the Indian Premier League 2023 season. The Yellow-outfit will lock
horns with last season’s runners-up, Rajasthan Royals (RR), at
the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, on Wednesday, April 12.
Speaking about their campaign
thus far, both teams have endured a loss and won twice with three matches
played. While Sanju Samson and Co. are coming off from a massive win against
the Delhi Capitals in their most recent outing, The MS Dhoni-led team beat their
arch-rivals Mumbai Indians comprehensively by seven wickets.
The Men in Pink have stamped
their authority in four of their last five meetings against CSK and the latter
will be gunning to avoid another defeat. With home support, Dhoni’s Super Kings
will look to give their best shot against a resurgent Royals on Wednesday’s

CSK vs RR Pitch Report
The wicket at the MA Chidambaram
Stadium in Chennai is a sporting wicket but favours the bowlers, especially the
spinners. Therefore, spinners of both sides will look to make the most from the
wicket and possibly get the required breakthroughs. Any score in the region of
160-180 can be a competitive total. Either skipper winning the toss may elect
to bowl first.

CSK vs RR Probable Best
Performers
Probable best batter
Ruturaj Gaikwad:
CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has
maintained his purple patch in the competition in the three matches thus far.
Additionally, he is among the leading run-getters and will look to put his best
foot forward to earn the IPL 2023 Orange Cap this season. The
right-hander understands the dynamics and performances as per the requirements
of the game. In three outings, he has aggregated 189 runs with two
half-centuries under his belt and will look to maintain his fine run.
Probable best bowler
Ravindra Jadeja:
A genius with the bat and with the ball, star all-rounder Jadeja seems to have struck the perfect balance since his return from a long injury stint. In the previous game against Mumbai, skipper Dhoni introduced him after the rival side got a brisk start in the powerplay. Jadeja quickly took the onus of denting the innings and returned with a three-wicket haul in his four overs for mere 20 runs. The left-arm spinner will aim to maintain this in the turning track in Chennai against Rajasthan.
