AFC 2023 Asian
Cup Qualifiers: India, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia and Uzbekistan
are the six host countries to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup
The final of
the qualifying matches will take place on three playing days on June 8, 11 and
14, 2022, while the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 will begin on June 16, 2023.
There are 13
teams, including host China PR, that have already qualified based on their
previous performance in the second round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers. For the
24 teams in the decisive group stage, they still have to catch the last 11
places.
24 teams are still vying for a place in China in 2023, six have not yet qualified for the AFC Asian Cup, while Hong Kong and Cambodia are hoping to qualify for the first time in more than half a century, with winners and top five runners-ups in six centralized qualifying groups to they completed the field for a four-year exhibition event.
Based on the
February 10 FIFA World Rankings, the 24 participating teams will be divided
into five Pots scatters.
The six host
MAs will be removed from their seed bank and placed in a separate host bank to
prevent their inclusion in the same group, although their final positions in
the group will reflect their original seed draw.
