Is Cristiano Ronaldo Set To Sign 200m Euros Deal With Saudi Arabia Club Al-Nassr?

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo who is a free agent, after parting ways with Manchester United during the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, has received an attractive offer of 200 million euros per year from from the Saudi Arabian Al-Nassr Company. Ronaldo, who himself said he had already rejected a £305million contract this summer, is said to be undecided if he wants to put pen to paper on the new deal, especially among FIFA. World Cup campaign for Portugal.

Ronaldo, in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, criticized Manchester United, suggesting that a few people at the club are trying to get him out. The 37-year-old even said he has no respect for manager Erik Ten Hag. Shortly after the video, United released a statement saying that the club and Ronaldo have mutually agreed to terminate his contract, making him a free agent.

Al-Nassr is the only club that has taken a serious interest in Ronaldo since he became a free agent. Although a few media reported that everything was confirmed between Ronaldo and Al-Nassr, many others, including a few even close to Ronaldo, denied the news.

Piers Morgan also took to Twitter to deny reports of a deal between the two parties. Even professional football reporter Fabrizio Romano said that nothing had been signed. Earlier, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes had spoken to several clubs including European giants like Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid etc. but none showed any interest for the 37-year-old striker.

But, given Ronaldo's profile, he is expected to get offers even from Champions League clubs in Europe. As a free agent, Ronaldo can sign for any club without waiting for a transfer window or ask a potential sponsor to agree to a deal with another club.

Having scored just one goal for Portugal at the FIFA World Cup, however, Ronaldo will need to finish the tournament with a few more goals if he is to set up a lucrative campaign.
