During India's pre-T20 international series, Bumrah suffered a fracture in his back which prevented him from the start of the series. However, after further examination, the injury is considered serious and reports suggest that the Indian pacer will be out of action for at least six months.
In the statement of
Friday school by BCCI, the director announces Silaj to pay the weight and the
team for two matches. They continue to say that Bumrah is under the health care
of the BCCI team.
"The All India Captains Selection Committee has named
Mohd. Siraj as the replacement for the injured Jasprit Bumrah for the remainder
of the T20I series against South Africa."
"Bumrah has suffered a back injury and is currently
under the care of the BCCI medical team," BCCI said in the statement. The

Siraj has played five T20Is so far and has taken five wickets. His last match for India in the series was back in February.
Bumrah was rested for the opening series against South
Africa after complaining of back discomfort. It looks likely either Mohammed
Shami or Deepak Chahar will replace him at the T20 World Cup next month.
India currently leads the series 1-0 after winning the game
on Wednesday by eight wickets.
