ICC Women's World Cup: Updated Points Table; Where Does Team India Stand?

Here's a look at the updated ICC Women's World Cup 2022 standings after Australia's strong victory against New Zealand in match 11 in the tournament.

The Australian cricket team defeated the New Zealanders in match no. 11 at the ongoing ICC 2022 Women's World Cup in Wellington on March 13. In the first shot, Australia recorded a total of 269 runs in the first inning with a loss of eight goals, thanks to 68 runs by Ellyse Perry and 48 * runs from 18 balls by Ashleigh Gardner.

 In the second inning, the Australian pitchers made a remarkable effort with the ball and defeated the hosts with a score of only 128 runs, won the match by 141 runs and reached the top of the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 table.

Australia is currently at the top of the table with three wins from all three matches it has played in the tournament. They have six points on their account with a net rate of 1,626. On the other hand, the Australians replaced India at the top, winning two of the three matches they played after losing only one match to New Zealand.

On the other hand, the defeat against Australia was the second Kiwi women's defeat in the ongoing World Cup edition and are currently in the fourth table with four points and an NRR of -0.257. India and New Zealand are in third place by South Africans, who have so far been without a defeat with two wins from two matches.

Coming back to the Sunday's match Perry was awarded the player of the match award for her half-century as well as the bowling figures of 1/18 in five overs. Darcie Brown returned with the best 3/22 numbers in seven over wards for Australia, while Amanda Jade Wellington and Ashleigh Gardner scored two goals each.
