After Suryakumar Yadav's Twin Ducks, Dinesh Karthik Makes Huge Mitchell Starc Statement

Mitchell Starc dismissed Suryakumar Yadav for a golden duck in the first and second ODI between India and Australia.

Touted by many as the best T20 batsman in the world, Suryakumar Yadav found himself in the firing line when he was dismissed for first-ball wickets in the first and second ODIs against Australia. It is the wicketkeeper Mitchell Starc who is winning it more than ever.

While Surya's form in ODIs is up for debate among fans and experts alike, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik doesn't think Surya's place should be considered. In fact, it is Mitchell Starc who has received the most praise from the Indian cricketer, suggesting that he is the 'best white ball player in the world'.

"Think about Suryakumar Yadav, I feel for him, the first two balls, I'm sure many people will say, "Oh, he's not taking advantage of his chances". It is not true. Missing the first ball means you're out before you're ready. It can happen to anyone," Karthik said in a Cricbuzz interview.

Karthik turned his attention to Starc, heaping praise on the keeper. "He (Starc) is the best bowler in the world right now, to come and receive balls like that is difficult. You put everybody out there, and most of the time, they get the ball first. We will give batsmen who come out with good southpaws," added Karthik.

Karthik also explained that the skills of the left arm like Starc, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Trent Boult, etc. have learned to be among the strongest people in the world.

"The talent behind Shaheen Afridi, Trent Boult, Mitchell Starc is a different leader. If a bowler has talent, he will play for India! Why should he play in the net? It is not an easy skill. Add to that, you are playing international cricket, and it is a different game of football,” said Karthik.
