23-time Major winner Serena Williams reacts to Rafael Nadal's 22nd Slam victory

Two days after the end of Roland Garros 2022, legendary American player Serena Williams congratulates Rafael Nadal on winning his 14th title at the French Open.

In the championship match, Nadal defeated Noar Casper Ruud 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 and became the first person to win 22 Major titles. The other two members of the big three Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic each fought for 20 straws.

 In the Grand Slam race general, the Spaniard is now on the same level as Steffi Graf from Germany. The only players above them are Serena Williams with 23 Majors and Australian icon Margaret Court with 24.

The former World No. 1 that Williams has been missing on tour for over a year. The last time she played in the first round of the Wimbledon Championship 2021, where she had to resign due to a leg injury against Aliaksandra Sasnovichová.

His last grand slam title came at the 2017 Australian Open, which is the longest period of his career without a major title. Williams lost the last four grand finals in an attempt to equal Margaret Court's 24 grand slam titles.

The Australian Open and Wimbledon were Williams' most successful straw events. The American has won two Majors seven times.
